Biography

Scottish rock musician, singer, guitarist and member of the band, "Bay City Rollers." McKeown jointed the band in 1973, replacing original singer Nobby Clark.

The band's manager Tam Paton chose the group's name by sticking a pin in a map of the U.S. They signed to Bell Records in 1971, toured extensively throughout the UK, but received their highest popularity in Japan.

McKeown began solo work in 1978, his hits include, "Keep on Dancin'," in 1971, "Sha-La-La," in 1974, "Give A Little Love" in 1975 and "Strangers in the Wind," released in 1978.
