Biography
American homicide; along with two buddies, stabbed to death MIT student from Norway, Yngve Raustein, 21. Not unlike the average teenager of the day, he was a participant in urban violence, a punk kid who gained respect from his peers for the game of "knockout," in which the goal is to k.o. a stranger with one blow. On 9/25/1992, three days before his 16th birthday, the Latino boy and his pals were playing knockout in a way that led to plunging a six-inch blade into the chest of Raustein. All three boys were jailed, charged with armed robbery and Shon with homicide, in exchange for a callous moment of bravado.
