Biography
American government appointee, the 14th U.S. Permanent Representative to the U.S. under President Jimmy Carter. Raised by a single mom in the black ghetto, McHenry was nicknamed "the Professor" when he was a kid. After graduating from university he joined the State Department, 1963-'73. In early 1977, he became Deputy Rep to the U.N. Security Council and was sent to Angola in 1978. McHenry took a seat in the U.N. General Assembly 9/18/1979.
He was nominated to the governing board of the American Stock Exchange 2/18/1981.
