Biography
Scottish politician, a Member of Parliament from 1970 to 1992. By trade he was an insurance broker and consultant and continued his interest in business throughout his life. McCrindle was knighted in 1990.
He and his wife Myra, whom he married in 1953, had two sons. He was diagnosed with cancer in the 1980s but seemed to have recovered. Death came at age 69 on October 17, 1998 in a London Hospital (one report gave 9:30 AM as the time of death).
