Biography
American musician with a group known as Dinosaur Jr. Singer, songwriter and guitarist, Mascis played in the hardcore band Deep Wound as a teenager before forming the trio Dinosaur in 1985. Threatened with legal action by a rival band called Dinosaur, his group changed its name to "Dinosaur Jr." in 1987. He is one of the founders of the group "Witch" and plays the drums for the band. In 2005 he released a solo album.
