Biography
Spanish politician who won victory as the P.M. of Spain for the third consecutive time on 10/29/1989. Marquez initially came into power after the Franco dictatorship, which decriminalized drugs in 1970 and created an explosion of freedom. Added freedom boded very well for the country as Spain is a Mediterranean society and much of life takes place in the streets and late into the evening. Marquez also visited the U.S. in 10/1989 to talk with President Bush.
