Biography
American basketball player and father of "Pistol" Pete Maravich. He played professional basketball with Detroit, Youngstown and Pittsburgh and served as head basketball coach at Davis & Elkins, West Virginia Wesleyan,
Clemson, North Carolina State, Louisiana State and Appalachian State. He was named Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year in 1965 and was head scout for the New Orleans Jazz 1977, 1978 . He died April 15, 1987, one year before his more-famous son.
