Biography

American musician and noted family, the only son of Henry Mancini. A musician with rock groups, his first solo LP was released in 1983.

In 1976 Chris had a son, Christopher Jr. with his girlfriend, Juli Shapiro. From the time the baby was six months old he was raised by his grandparents, Henry and Ginni Mancini. When Juli could not support the boy, Henry took the baby into his home and filed for custody of his grandson. He obtained a restraining order to keep Juli away from the baby. When the boy was four, he was kidnapped twice in one week by his feuding parents.
