Biography
Canadian championship figure skater, the winner of an Olympic Silver Medal 1972. Magnussen was Canada’s Female Athlete of the Year in 1971 and 1972, and in 1973 she was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.
She founded the Champions Way Skating Schools and the Karen Magnussen Foundation. She was director of the 1996 British Columbia Winter games.
