Biography
American singer, guitarist and record label founder. MacKaye sang for Washington D.C. punk bands Teen Idles and Minor Threat in the early 1980s and founded Dischord Records in 1981. A champion of the Do-It-Yourself ethos, MacKaye co-founded Fugazi in 1987, one of the most influential independent bands during the 1990s.
