Biography
American military man, lawyer and politician. He began practicing law in New York City from 1948-1958 and from there worked his way up to Assistant to the Attorney General 1955-1956. He became the elected Mayor of New York City in 1965.
Lindsay is regarded as one of the strong voices of liberalism. Serving in the military in WW II, he won five battle stars.
