Dutch naturalist and scientist, called "The Father of Microbiology" as he revealed a new world of microscopic life through his observations.
He married in July 1654 Barbara de Mey (-1666). They got five children , but only Maria survived infancy.
He died 26 Augustus 1723, Delft, Netherlands.
