Biography
American engineer and experimental test pilot. While flying a helicopter at 30,000 feet on 3/15/1969, an explosion occurred, he fell, breaking every bone in his body except for his left arm, severing his right arm and having his face destroyed. After 33 major surgeries and 96 casts, Lee returned to work in a wheel chair and became Vice President of Sikorsky Helicopters.
