Biography

American Roman Catholic priest and transsexual. As William Griglak, he was ordained a priest 5/31/1959, working as a preacher, pastor, psychologist, state administrator and athletic director. He left the ministry after 13 years and married, trying to deny his female identity.

When he came to a decision about his life, speaking of his "appointment with destiny," he had his hair removed by electrolysis, went on hormone treatments and was operated on 4/12/1979 in Trinidad, Colorado. He then assumed the name Nancy Ledins.
