Biography
American League Name Change. While the exact origins of the Nationals still prove elusive, this chart marks their origin as an NBL team.
The Midwest Basketball Conference changed its name to the National Basketball League to avoid confusion with the college conference. The decision was made at their fall meeting over the weekend. The chart is set for Sunday at noon, and is highly speculative.
Some of the charter members of the NBL are currently the oldest teams in the NBA, including the Syracuse Nationals (Phil. 76'ers), the Fort Wayne-Zollner Pistons (Detroit) and the Tri-City BlackHawks (Atlanta Hawks).
