Biography
American physicist, appointed by the government to be a group leader in the Los Alamos Science lab 1950-1967. For his last ten years there, he was head of cyclotron research. Leachman worked at the Copenhagen Institute of Theoretical Physics 1962-63 and was professor of physics at Kansas State University 1967-72. Assistant to the deputy director of defense in Nuclear Agency, Washington, DC 1972-74, he became assistant to the deputy director of regulations for the Atomic Energy Commission 1974-78. Leachman was on the Science and Technical Committee from 1970.
He married on 6/16/1946; three kids.
