Biography
French musician and composer whose first achievement of fame was a violin concerto, "Symphonie Espagnole," 1873. He garnered great attention with the ballet "Namouna," 1882, as well. His music was considered characteristic of French culture at its best. Lalo studied at the Paris Conservatory in 1839.
