Biography

American football player, a quarterback for the San Diego Chargers. As one of the oldest players in professional football (age 41 in 1999), Krieg was originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks on 5/06/1980 as a non-drafted free agent. He spent 11 years in Seattle before moving on to the Kansas City Chiefs. In the seven years elapsed since moving to the Chiefs, he played with five teams. An excellent and dependable player, Krieg played in the Pro Bowl in 1984, 1988, 1989 and holds the NFL single-season record for most fumbles recovered. In addition, he played in the AFC championship games in 1983 and 1993.
