Biography
American actress, played the part of Ray Charles' lover and back-up girl-group singer in the 2004 movie biopic "Ray."
King began her acting career in 1985, age 14, in the TV series "227." Several years later with many other credits to her name she appeared in the 1996 hit movie, "The Color of Money" with Tom Cruise. She played Cuba Gooding's girl friend.
She has won several awards including a 2005 BET award for best actress.
King married Ian Alexander, Sr. on April 23, 1997 and filed for divorce on November 8, 2006. The couple had one son, Ian Alexander, Jr., born on January 19, 1996.
