Biography
German-American industrialist: he developed assembly line ship-building in WW II, from 1931-45 working on more than 70 major construction projects. In 1942, he established the Kaiser Foundation to provide health services for workers. An auto manufacturer from 1946, he extended interest to aviation, aluminum, steel, magnesium and housing; the companies all merging into Kaiser Industries, 1956.
He died 8/24/67 in Honolulu.
