Biography

British film director, writer, medieval historian, comic performer and mime artist. He did drama and humor skits at Oxford where he met and joined with John Cleese in the demented "Monty Python" troupe as well as other musical productions. He followed with a job at the B.B.C. as a script editor, production assistant and jokesmith. Jones met Chapman and Gilliam to write for TV for MP. One of his noted books is "Chaucer's Knight" and a collection of fairy tales.

Jones married in 1970 and has two children.
