Source Notes
Church of Light quotes his personal rectification of his own chart. Sabian Symbols No.402 gives 10:43 PM. In November 2006, Wayne Turner writes: "An article in The Astrological Journal by Jayne himself titled "Are Astrologers Living in a Fool's Paradise?" Summer 1985, p.157, indicates that the rectified time of 10:39:33 (s/b :30?) was provided to him by Eleanor Hesseltine, an associate of his for many years, 35 years earlier, ie c.1950. This same article typoed his baby book time to 10:53, which has apparently been picked up by some sources. However, according to an article titled "The Technique of Rectification" by Charles in his excellent journal In Search for Spring 1959, page 2, his given birth time should be 10:43 PM. We know that this is what he meant because he says "My own birth time was given as 10:43 PM, EST, i.e. was given to the exact minute...but the rectified time...turned out to be 10:39 1/2 PM, EST--a discrepancy of 3 1/2 minutes." The math obviously indicates 10:43 is correct."
