Biography

American basketball Founder of the NY Knicks. He was inspired to produce and promote college basketball at Madison Square Garden beginning in 1934. His twin bills and college championships were a huge success. Became the Garden's full-time basketball promoter and eventually President of Madison Square Garden Corporation. A powerful force in the founding of the BAA and the NBA.
