Petitallot, Cadran No.9, 6/1994, quotes Ionesco's death certificate which gives the birth date as November 13 1909 OS (11/26/1909 NS) since Romania only adopted the new style on March 18, 1918. "As for the time of 8:30 AM Bucharest time, I find it highly speculative due to the fact that there is a three year difference in the date of birth as quoted in previous accounts.’’
