Biography

French writer and educator whose last teaching post was in 1973 at the Sorbonne. As a writer, he was awarded the Goncourt and Albert Schweitzer prizes in 1955.

During WW II, Ikor was a prisoner of war from 1940 to 1945. Returned to Paris, he married on 10/20/1947.

Ikor died in Paris on 11/17/1986.
