Biography
Canadian writer, journalist, biographer, novelist, playwright, and Director of Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
His 1993 novel "Scar Tissue" was short-listed for the Booker Prize and the Whitbread Novel Award.
His father was Canadian ambassador to Yugoslavia and most of his 14 books and countless articles deal with modern issues in international affairs especially dealing with governments that terrorize their own people. Ignatieff's books include "Empire Lite: National Building in Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan.
