Biography
American business executive named President and Chief Operating Officer of Walt Disney Company in January 2000. In 2005 he was named successor to Michael Eisner.
Iger joined the Disney management team in 1996, when Capital Cities/ABC, where he was President and COO, was acquired by Disney. He had been with ABC since 1974, when he became a studio supervisor with the company, graduating to ABC Sports. He worked his way up the corporate ladder at the media company.
Iger is married with two sons and two daughters.
