Biography

Olympic and 11- time World Champion track cyclist. He has won a total of 6 Olympic Gold Medals at the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 (1), Beijing 2008 (3) and London 2012 (2). He is the most successful Scottish Olympian of all time.

A year after retiring from cycling, he announced that he was joining the British GT motor racing team, with a view to competing in the Le Mans race in 2016.
