Biography

Scottish musician and band leader of "The Blow Monkeys," known by the name of Dr. Robert. Howard hit the charts from 1986 and in February 1987 had a top five hit. The band was one of the first to release a song about AIDS and as their outspoken leader, Howard had a song that was banned from BBC airwaves until after the General Election in June 1987 due to it's anti-Thatcher leanings. The band had another top-ten hit in early 1989.
