Biography

Scottish rich-voiced, handsome operatic tenor who made his debut in 1914 at the Royal Swedish Opera. During 1920 thru 1931, Hislop toured South Africa, Australia, Europe and the U.S. After retiring in 1937, he taught at the Royal Academy and the Opera School in Stockholm.

Puccini referred to him as "my ideal Rodolfo." Hislop died 5/06/1977, Upper Largo.
