Biography

American industrialist and philanthropist who founded the Hershey Chocolate Company in 1903 and established the town of Hershey in 1909 near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. With determination, pure hard work and only a third-grade education, Hershey became one of the greatest entrepreneurs of the late 19th and 20th centuries.

Hershey died of pneumonia and heart failure 10/13/1945 in Hershey, PA.
