I've received a request from Admin to offer a reference to the URL with a quote I gave for the New York Times reference of a 1:07 PM PDT time of death for Michael Jackson, but I can't find a way to edit as requested. I'll be grateful for the assistance in this matter. Obviously, this is a private note to Admin who asked this of me, but again, I have no means or understanding of how to succeed in replying without doing so in this note. Perhaps general notes requests could be added to alleviate any confusion?

You'll note the following from the notice you sent to me at 22:54 EDT, but these links that indicate a means for me to contact the editor are both showing "error":

The note request to me reads (again, in re to the time of death for Michael Jackson):

Can you please quote the relvant bit from the NYT precisely. I went to the link and could not see it.--Admin 02:54, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

I originally wrote:

"The New York Times confirmed that Michael Jackson died on 25 June 2009 at 1:07 pm PDT at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Reference: http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/06/25/michael-jackson-hospitalized/ " and the credit was given to me as " 01:09, 26 June 2009 Magwrit1 "

Here is the quote from that page, about halfway down: "Update | 7 p.m. A Los Angeles city official confirmed that Michael Jackson is dead. The official said he died at 1:07 p.m. Pacific time."

Since that was printed yesterday (the 25th), another reporter, Brooks Barnes, wrote in paragraph 3 of a story, "A Star Idolized and Haunted, Michael Jackson Dies at 50," here:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/26/arts/music/26jackson.html?_r=1

"The singer was rushed to the hospital, a six-minute drive from the rented Bel-Air home in which he was living, shortly after noon by paramedics for the Los Angeles Fire Department. A hospital spokesman would not confirm reports of cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead at 2:26 pm."

The reference to 2:26 pm came from Jermaine Jackson's noting this time when he announced the death of Michael Jackson.

I recognize there is a significant discrepancy here. The official time, as the Los Angeles County Coroner explained it in his news conference, will be given to the UCLA Medical Center where he was actually pronounced dead. However, the involvement of the Coroner was as a result of Mr. Jackson's own physician, who was actually at the home at the time of the death and refused to make the pronouncement. If you wish me to follow up on these details, please let me know, and I'll be happy to help, but I beg of you to have a heart and help me with either an e-mail address to respond to or to explain to me how I can submit these edits when needed. I don't mean to trouble you, but when I interacted with Lois, obviously, these things didn't occur, so I was able to offer such data more quickly and easily. (You'll note that I am the one who actually gave the time of the 26 February 1993 bombing of the WTC as well. I believe I've also been credited with some other dates and times, including that of David Koresh. I covered stories of both for Dell Horoscope in 1993.)

Sorry for the effort to reply to you this way, but you'll see I had no other means to do so. I'll trust you will be able to delete this after you wade through it. :) After all, there was no other means for me to reply, a bit frustrating.
