Biography
Dutch industrialist who built an Amsterdam brewery into one of the world's biggest brewing companies. His name, Heineken, was synonymous with his product.
On 11/09/1983, he was kidnapped for a ransom of 35.000.,000 guilders. The money was paid and he was released on 11/30/1983. Most of the money was found after he was returned to safety, but 8.000.000 guilders have yet to be recovered.
Heineken died of pneumonia on 1/03/2002, Noordwijk, Netherlands.
