Biography

Scottish musician, a singer, songwriter, performer and player of the guitar and banjo. He formed "Alex Harvey and his Soul Band" in 1963 which phased into the "Sensational Alex Harvey Band." They had the hit singles "Delilah" in 1975 and "The Boston Tea Party in" 1976. The groups LPs included "The Joker is Wild," 1972 and "The Mafia Stole my Guitar," 1979. He also played in the musical "Hair" in London.

Died of a heart attack on 2/04/1981, Zeebruggem, Belgium.
