Biography

Canadian entertainer, writer, actor, comedian and co-author of a musical. Harron was known for being quick-witted and a talented actor whose range included Shakespeare. He played as the star of CBS TV's "Hee Haw," was radio host of "Morningside," 1977-1982, and had his own series, "Don Harron Show," 1983-1985.

As a comedian, Harron punned his way through a radio show from 1977-1982, creating the character Charlie Farquharson.

In 1969 he married singer Catherine MacKinnon.
