Biography

German homicide, a homosexual epileptic. The sixth child, he was his mom's favorite. From youth, he served several prison terms for indecency and was committed several times to an insane asylum. In 9/1918, he and his friend, 24-year old Hans Grans, began luring about two boys a week to his den in the thieves quarter, where they then butchered them and sold the meat. At their trial in 12/1924, they were convicted of 27 murders of 16 to 18 year-old boys; Haarmann figured the count was closer to 40. Grans was given 12 years in prison and Haarmann was beheaded on 4/15/1925, Hanover, Germany.
