Biography
Turkish petroleum magnate of Armenian origin, said to be the richest man in the world at his time. He was a noted art collector of old masters and a great patron of the arts. Gulbenkian anticipated a life line as long as his father's, an octogenarian.
He died 7/20/1955, Lisbon, Portugal.
