Source Notes
Arthur Blackwell quotes R. Ridolfi, "Life of Francesco Guicciardi," Knopf, 1968. The date was March 6, 1483/84, "five hours after sunset," OS. The OS year began at March 25, so this is 1484 NS, and Florentine time began the day at sunset (5:50 PM) and five hours after sunset is still March 5 by NS reckoning, approximately 10:50 PM. (Blackwell converted to a spec time of 22:16 UT.)
(Americana gives 6/06/1483)
