Biography
American drunk driver convicted of homicide by motor vehicle. At about 12:20 AM on September 30, 2001, Stephen Guarente was driving home after his brother’s wedding, when the car he was driving rammed into the side of another car in Lynn, MA, killing a four-year old child and injuring the child’s father and sister. Guarente’s blood alcohol level was well above the legal limit. He pleaded guilty and, in June 2003 he was sentenced to five years imprisonment for motor vehicle homicide.
