Biography
American journalist and host of "Meet the Press," a weekly current affairs television show, beginning late 2008.
Gregory's father Don is a theatrical and film producer in Newport Beach, CA. David cut his reporter's teeth at age 18 when he landed a summer job for a local television station based in Tucson, AZ. He followed that with a stint at an NBC affliate out of Sacramento and a bachelor's degree in international studies earned at the American University in Washington, DC.
Gregory joined MSNBC in 1995 as a journalist and covered presidential campaigns. He became the network's White House Correspondent covering the administration of George W. Bush. With good looks, dignfied by graying hair that belies his youth, Gregory was guest anchor for several other news shows including the popular morning show, "Today."
He began hosting his own show in the run-up to the presidential elections of 2008. The show was aptly named "Road to the White House." On December 7, 2008 he was named host of "Meet the Press" and debuted in the role on December 14, 2008.
He married Beth Ann Wilkinson, a lawyer, on Nantucket Island, MA on June 10, 2000. He and his wife have three children.
