Biography
American writer and actor, an experimental theater director whose work was known only to a handful of intellectuals before 1982. When his film "My Dinner With Andre" opened, it became one of the biggest success stories in Boston Art House history. The smash comedy co-starred the writer, Gregory and Wallace Shawn, and made them instant star-gurus of the theater.
