Biography
American noted family, daughter of then-Governor of NY, Charles Evans Hughes. Her father was later Supreme Court Chief Justice.
A graduate of Barnard College, she married Wililam T. Gossett, a lawyer and former vice president and general counsel of the Ford Motor Company. Active in social circles, she became a trustee of Barnard College in 1957 and was founder of the Supreme Court Historical Society.
She died at age 73 in Detroit, MI on April 24, 1981
