German housewife and Nazi resistance member. She refused to give shelter to a high-level Nazi army officer (Fritz Lindemann involved in the 20 July plot) and was arrested, along with her husband and mother. Gloeden was beheaded on 30 November 1944, Ploetzensee Prison, Germany. Her husband and mother were likewise executed, and their fate publicized as a warning.
