Biography
American basketball player for several professional teams beginning with the Phoenix Suns right after college. Nicknamed The Hammer, he changed the way his first name, Armon, was spelled (to Armen) in order to better reflect the way he pronounced it. He retired from the sport in 2000 but in 2002 took on a college basketball coaching assignment that lasted until 2005.
He died on July 5, 2011 while playing basketball in a Bridgeville, PA gym.
