Biography
French-Algerian director of short films, then co-director of features. Formerly a student of the Art School of Alger, he produced a number of popular films. Said to have the style of Proust, he often followed the same themes through his personal and repetitive fantasies and aesthetics, themes such as passionate love, homosexuality, literature and crime. He never married.
Gilles died 2/03/1966, Paris.
