Biography
Italian soprano opera singer with a great talent. She began in the chorus at the Arena in Verona and won the Maria Callas TV contest for new voices later that year in 1980. Proving to be one of the best performers of the Italian opera in both musicality and sense of character, Gasdia has appeared in over 50 productions, some of them internationally. She was awarded the Viotti d’Oro in 1992.
Gasdia graduated from the Conservatory of Verona with a diploma in piano. She is married to Alessandro Bertoli and they have one child.
