Biography
British-American writer and actress known for her dramatic roles portraying women as efficient and intelligent professionals. Gascoine's career peaked with two detective dramas, "C.A.T.S. Eyes," 1985-87 and "The Gentle Touch," 1980-84. After starting a career in writing, her third book was published in 1997.
She met and married Shakespearean actor Alfred Molina in 1982; they moved to Los Angeles in 1993. Gascoine has fought clinical depression throughout her career and used alternative medicine to contain cancer that was diagnosed in the summer 1996.
