Biography
French architect and urban planner who, at the turn of the century, designed a city of the future. Despite the lack of support or approval by his teachers, he calculated industrial growth with attention to transportation, sewer systems, low cost housing and materials. As he matured in his field and became City Architect of Lyon, Garnier eventually succeeded in putting many of his theories into practice.
He died in 1/19/1948 in Roquefort-la-Bedoule, France.
