Biography
German-Bavarian poet, dramatist, novelist and statesman. His debut publication in 1879 was a volume of lyrics. After successfully publishing poetry, he turned his attention to drama with a first successful play production in 1890. In later years Ganghofer was a trusted counselor and friend of Kaiser Wilhelm.
Ganghofer died 7/26/1920, Tegernsee, Bavaria.
