Biography
Czech-American composer of such highly successful operettas as "The Firefly," "Rose Marie" and "The Vagabond King." He wrote much light, pleasing music. He studied piano and composition in his youth and came to the U.S. in 1901 as an accompanist and concert pianist.
Died on November 12, 1972.
